We believe imperfection is not a flaw but a form of beauty, that tells stories.

OUR STORY

In our homes, nothing was ever wasted.

Worn saris became quilts, old dupattas became curtains, scraps of fabric were saved and reintroduced into daily life.

This instinct to reuse, to reimagine, to create with has been passed down through generations.

Ekatran carries that wisdom forward, transforming it into a material - led practice.

OUR STORY

In our homes, nothing was ever wasted.

Worn saris became quilts, old dupattas became curtains, scraps of fabric were saved and reintroduced into daily life.

This instinct to reuse, to reimagine, to create with care has been passed down through generations.

Ekatran carries that wisdom forward, transforming it into a
material-led practice.

At Ekatran, materials lead the process. We work with textile remnants, deadstock, factory off-cuts, and bio-based fabrics, seeing possibility where others see excess. Through thoughtful craftsmanship and storytelling, they become wearable art - each piece carrying a narrative as unique as the material itself.

There is no fixed formula - only a dialogue with the material and narrative. Through patchwork, appliqué, embroidery, reconstruction, and intuitive making, every textile finds its own expression. Some explorations remain singular collectible pieces, while others evolve into recurring signatures that carry the language of Ekatran forward.

OUR VALUE

Our values are not declarations, they are woven into every seam and silence.

They are the undercurrent of our practice quietly enduring every garment that we create.

Honesty

We create with integrity, letting the materials speak for themselves.

Harmony

We balance past and present, art and fashion, memory and renewal.

Simplicity

Stripping away excess to reveal what is essential and true.

Thankfulness

For the fabric, the hands, and the traditions that make Ekatran possible.

A Note from the Founder

For me, Ekatran began personally, with the simple urge to make something unique out of my mom’s katran. Along the way, my own evolution as a painter and mixed-media artist found its way into it too, and Ekatran became a space where art and clothing could meet.

I’ve always been drawn to leftover objects and overlooked materials. I instinctively want to do something with them - to look beyond what they were, their marks and irregularities, and see what else they could become. Ekatran comes from that impulse.

CIRCULARITY

Fashion often moves too fast, producing more than it can justify and leaving behind materials with untold potential. Ekatran was born from a different way of seeing - one that values what already exists and imagines what it could become.

Every piece is an invitation to rethink value and the stories our clothes can carry.
